Torii provides a very granular Role-based access control (RBAC). With role-based access control, Torii admins have the ability to invite additional Torii members with specific very access rights.

Using custom roles, you can for example, invite a member from the finance team to Torii's admin console with the permissions only to update financial data, but without any permission to update any other settings in Torii.

💡 Only users with the Admin role can create, edit and remove custom roles

Creating Custom Access Roles

  • On the left sidebar menu, click Settings

  • Click the Roles section

  • Click the Add role button

  • In Role name, name your new role. The role name must be unique.

  • In Description, provide a meaningful description of your role. This will be used later when you assign users to roles.

  • Select the relevant scopes for this role. Either full-access or read-only

See Torii User Permissions Guide for full explanation on the various scopes.

Edit Custom Access Roles

You can only edit the custom access roles. The two predefined roles Admin and Read-only cannot be edited or removed.

  • On the left sidebar menu, click Settings

  • Click the Roles section

  • Hover on the line with the role you would like to remove

Remove Custom Access Roles
